Fatma is one of our brilliant students. Nursing in Turkey is make huge progression in last 30 years. She starts nursing education 14 years old. She is now 34 years old and one of the good example of representive in nursing Turkey. She said that, ‘’Nursing is my life style and my philosophy. Also I learned balance between life and death in operating room. This is one of the big issues that make change my life perspective’’
During her bachelor and master degree education, she worked five years just in night shift in the operating room. During her experiences in night shift she explain her feelings; “The best thing about night shift you are able to help the people really when they need care attention without any protection for themselves. Like many nurse you can able to do your best for patients and your team in the operation room” She is one of the role-model in her hospital works with discipline, eager to improve herself and other colleague related continuously education

She is inspiring person for many things but things i admire her the most is her passion for our profession. She has Master degree in nursing. She dedicated her life to manage OR in her hometown Rijeka Univesity hospital. She educated so many nurses to become good OR nurses. She learns, she leads , she pushes to be the best we can. She is a president of our Croatian operating nurse association. She writed OR nursing guiedlines, standards and procedures in Croatian and doing her best to make it published. She teaches at Univesity for nurses in Rijeka. She is a board member of EORNA for last 15 years. She is a legend of Croatian OR nursing. I think she deserves this award for giving her life and soul to her job and our patiants. Even when she is not working she finds the time to promote this profession and find a way to make it better and improve our visibility in sociaty. There will be no greater women in Croatia when it comes to OR nursing, im apsolutely sure of that.
